Online Data Protection
We take your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy applies to individuals who wish to find out more about SmartRocket products and services and applies to data submitted at www.smart-rocket.com. This privacy policy does NOT apply to Agents and Crew Members of the SmartRocket community – please visit here for the policy relevant to such individuals.
By visiting the SmartRocket website, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, please do not use this site. ROSL reviews this Privacy Policy periodically and reserves the right, at its discretion, to modify or remove portions of this Policy at any time. This page should be reviewed from time to time so that you are updated on any changes.
What information do we collect?
Your personal data is collected when you complete and submit a contact form or communicate via email. In particular, ROSL will collect and hold details of your name, company, address, email address, telephone number, any information that you provide about areas of interest to you, information that you provide in response to any ROSL marketing campaigns, and any other personal information disclosed by you. We believe that details of your areas of interest or responses will assist us in tailoring more specific communications to you in the future. ROSL follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us and treats all such information with care and respect. What we do with this information
By submitting a contact form you consent to us keeping the personal data contained in the form on file for the purposes of addressing your immediate enquiry and occasionally contacting you (including by telephone) to notify you about changes to our services and new information which we think you may find interesting or valuable.
In the contact form, you also have the option to select ‘I would like to receive news on new services and developments from Red Ocean Solutions’. By doing so, you consent to our adding you to our regular e-mailing list, which may include information on ROSL products and services, press releases, invitations to seminars or to attend ROSL workshops and other information we believe may be of interest.
With whom will we share your information?
By submitting personal data to ROSL, as described above, you consent to us sharing your personal information within the ROSL Group of Companies. Other companies within the ROSL Group may from time to time contact you on matters which may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving such news and promotional communications, at any time, by notifying us by email (see the Contact section below).
If ROSL or its assets are acquired, or if ROSL is involved in a merger, personally identifiable information as described in this policy may be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information in the unlikely event that the information is subject to disclosure pursuant to judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants, orders or for similar legal or regulatory requirements.
Cookies

SmartRocket Agent (Crewmember) Privacy Policy
Thank you for your interest in SmartRocket. The SmartRocket internet platform is owned and operated by Red Ocean Solutions Ltd. (“ROSL”), a Hong Kong S.A.R. registered company whose address is at Room 602, 43 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, Hong Kong.
We take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy covers what we do with the personal information you choose to share with us and the data you collect while using the SmartRocket App. By visiting the SmartRocket website (www.smart-rocket.com) and utilizing the SmartRocket App, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, please do not use these services. ROSL reviews this Privacy Policy periodically and reserves the right, at its discretion, to modify or remove portions of this Policy at any time.
Registration and Creation of a SmartRocket Account
In order to provide a professional service to our clients, we require certain personally identifying information (“PII”) during the SmartRocket Account registration process to establish your identity. Your name, gender, date of birth, email address, education level and employment status are all required to create a SmartRocket account. Please note that if you do not supply us with any of this information, you will not be able to set up a SmartRocket Account. The individual elements of your PII will not be shared with any third party without prior notification to you beyond what is outlined in this Privacy Policy. ROSL will use this information to administer and manage the SmartRocket internet platform and allocate location-appropriate Tasks to be completed by Task Reps.Tools are available for members to change the PII they’ve shared via the SmartRocket Crew Portal (www.crew.smart-rocket.com). PII is stored securely on restricted database servers. ROSL may share anonymous aggregate information with our Clients in the form of metrics, etc, however, never in personally identifying forms.
Location
Upon registration, we log your location to ensure that we have Tasks (also known as ‘Missions’) available in your area. In addition, each time you launch the SmartRocket App, we collect your location information to best determine what Tasks to display to you. We will also collect location information when you apply to complete a Task, when you actually complete a Task and when you submit the Deliverables from that Task. This information is for ROSL Validation and Quality Control purposes only and helps ROSL ensure quality Deliverables for our Clients. It is your right to request that location data collected and stored by ROSL is erased. Should you wish us to do so, please contact us at community@smart-rocket.com.
Payment
To accept payment for the Tasks you perform, SmartRocket Task Reps will need to set up an online Payment Account using their SmartRocket Registration email address.
What Information ROSL Shares
ROSL’s Clients
Our clients assign us projects that comprise individual Tasks. When you undertake a Task, the location information and work-product you collected and/or generated through answering questions and taking photos or videos becomes the property of ROSL and is delivered to our Clients. In addition to the content created during a Task, we will share the location at which the Task was performed. We will never share PII for any purpose, and in particular your consent is required before ROSL may use and share your PII for direct marketing purposes.
Transference of Services
If ROSL or its assets are acquired, Task Rep information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
Data Access Request
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have a right to request access to, and to request correction of, your personal data in relation to your appointment as a Task Rep. If you wish to exercise these rights, you may visit the SmartRocket Crew Portal to directly update your information or contact our Data Protection Officer with such request at community@smart-rocket.com
Please note that use of ROSL SmartRocket App, Site and Services is limited to individuals who are eighteen or older.. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your minor child is using our service, please contact community@smart-rocket.com regarding the removal of the account in question.
